3 COPY PROMPTS TO WRITE BETTER HEADLINES

Ever get overwhelmed trying to write the perfect copy for your website? Well, you’re not alone in that one. What your website says is no small task, and can make or break a user staying on your website. You need to build curiosity and interest, which isn’t necessarily as easy as it sounds. Luckily, we have come up with some questions to ask yourself so you can write those attention grabbing headlines in minutes!

Here are three prompts to help you write compelling and engaging website copy:

1. "What problem does your ideal customer face, and how does your product/service solve it?"
Use this prompt to craft solution-focused messaging. For example:

    • What pain points do your customers experience, and how can you address them in clear, empathetic terms?

    • How can you showcase the benefits of your offerings in a way that resonates emotionally and practically?

2. "Why should someone choose your business over a competitor?"
Focus on your unique value proposition.

    • What makes your brand, product, or service stand out in your industry?

    • How can you communicate trust, credibility, and expertise in a way that reassures visitors they're in the right place?

3. "If your website visitor had only 10 seconds to decide, what’s the one key message you want them to take away?"
This prompt helps you distill your value into concise, impactful messaging.

    • What headline or tagline will immediately grab their attention?

    • How can you clearly communicate who you are, what you do, and why it matters in a single sentence?

Remember, users do not want to read a novel’s length of text on any part of your website, so keep it concise, people! Feeling lengthy? Cut it in half if you can, until it feels more readable. And headlines should never be more than one sentence, and a short one at that!
